Take an energy break at work or host an unforgettable event!
On-site seated massage is a short 5 to 30 minute massage given in your workplace or at your special event. It is performed in a specially designed portable massage chair that can be set up and dismantled quickly in almost any location. Unlike massage or neuromuscular therapy, no oil or lotion is used and you remain fully dressed. A session covers the neck, shoulders, back, and arms. After a chair massage, you can return to work refreshed and clear-headed, or transition into a more relaxed mode when heading home.
Several companies provide chair massage for their employees. As an employer, all you have to do is provide a quiet space for the massage practitioner and spread the word. Massages can take place on break time so no work time is lost. Employees can pay part or all of the cost. Two massages per month cost much less than the cost of treating many other stress related and work related injuries.
For your next event or party, consider arranging for chair massage. Your guests will appreciate this special treat. Chair massage in your waiting room or lobby is a service for your customers that will set you apart from the crowd.
lymph drainage therapy back to top
Proper functioning of the lymphatic system is critical to our body’s ability to detoxify and regenerate tissues and to maintain a healthy immune system. Unlike the circulatory system, which uses the pumping of the heart to circulate its blood flow, lymph vessels rely upon hundreds of tiny muscular units contracting throughout the body to propel the lymph. The action of these muscular units can be hindered or stopped due to fatigue, stress, lack of physical activity, infections, swelling, chemicals, or food additives. When lymph circulation stagnates, fluids, proteins, and toxins accumulate, and cellular functioning is significantly compromised.
French physician Bruno Chikly, MD, who has taught the technique internationally, developed this method of Lymph Drainage Therapy designed to activate and cleanse the human lymphatic system. The process involves the use of subtle manual maneuvers to aid in the recirculation of the lymphatic flow. Specifically, the therapist works with flat hands stimulating a wave-like movement. Pressure applied is the equivalent weight of a nickel. Using this technique, lymphatic drainage follows your own body’s specific lymphatic rhythm and direction of flow anywhere in the body.
The therapy has been successfully used to activate fluid circulation and stimulate the functioning of the immune system. It is shown that when these actions are accomplished, the results may be:
- reduction in swelling of many origins
- detoxification of the body
- regeneration of tissue, including scars (pre- and post-surgical), wrinkles, and stretch marks
- relief of chronic and subacute inflammation
- reduction in the symptoms of fibromyalgia
- deep relaxation to aid insomnia and stress
- alleviation of adiposis and cellulite tissue
